WHY DENMARK?

Denmark is a place of everyday wonder. It is Scandinavia's smallest kingdom. This little kingdom is home to hygge, bikes, mouthwatering gastro experiences, historic castles and Vikings. Denmark may be small in size, but there is tons to discover here. The south Denmark borders with Germany, however elsewhere the country is surrounded entirely by water. Owing to its position Denmark has always acted as a stepping-stone between Central Europe and the countries of the Scandinavian peninsula. The local Disneyland — Legoland — is a wildly popular place featuring more than 33 million Lego bricks built into famous landmarks from around the world.

WHAT'S SO SPECIAL?

From unique attractions like our urban ski mountain, to hip bars, gourmet restaurants and designer hotels, there’s always something happening here, and always a new reason to visit. Denmark is a mix of rural and urban landscapes with ancient castles and modern designs found throughout. Biking is very popular in Denmark, which has thousands of kilometers of established cycling routes. Swimming, windsurfing, yachting and fishing are other outdoor opportunities to enjoy.

HOW ABOUT THE CLIMATE?

Denmark has a temperate climate, the mildness of which is largely conditioned by the generally westerly winds and by the fact that the country is virtually encircled by water. Because of Denmark’s northern location in Europe, the length of the day with sunlight varies greatly. There are short days during the winter as well as beautifully long summer days. The shortest and longest days of the year have traditionally been celebrated. The celebration for the shortest day corresponds roughly with Christmas.
